About The Position

The Equipment Detailer is responsible for washing, cleaning, and detailing equipment. This role involves operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the detailing process, as well as performing light maintenance on dealer-owned and customer equipment. The position requires a commitment to customer service, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to all safety rules and regulations. Additionally, the detailer will complete necessary reports and training, and maintain knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.

Requirements

• Ability to operate vehicles, tools, and equipment used in the machinery reconditioning and pre-delivery processes
• Knowledge of using safety equipment required to complete tasks
• Able to bend, lift and carry
• Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years detailing experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Washes, cleans and details equipment
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required in the detailing process
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Performs light maintenance on dealer owned sales and rental equipment
• Performs light maintenance on customer equipment
• Delivers customer equipment
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with job assignments
• Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties
• Exhibits a constant commitment to customer service
• Promotes the service department to customers including service work, inspections, and parts
• Maintains a tidy, professional personal appearance
• Reports to work on time
• Employs good time-management skills and has the ability to work independently
• Demonstrates good work ethic
• Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups
• Maintains positive, professional working relationships dealership wide
• Works cooperatively with co-workers and management
• Completes required training
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
