About The Position

The Equipment Analyst is responsible for executing equipment processes to support customer demand, while supporting efficient and optimal equipment flow and planning. This role is responsible for ownership of equipment inventories within their assigned region, ensuring the most optimal flow planning and inventory management at the lowest cost possible. The analyst will ensure that equipment flows are balanced and aligned to support availability per customer demands, supporting customer centricity and company growth. This includes planning and supporting empty flows, ensuring empties are accessible and available for repositioning and vessel evacuation to ensure vessels sail full. The role involves managing terminal and depot empty inventories to adequate levels, performing regular reconciliation of vendor yard inventory to Maersk systems (COMET, ROCK), and working closely with terminal, depot, rail, and truck vendors to support empty planning. Additionally, the analyst will work closely with vendors, the Container Sales Team, and the Global Service Center to support and execute the container sales program (out-fleet of aging equipment) and support the redelivery of off-hire/one-way containers with local motor carriers. The position requires actively working with vendors on strategies to reduce equipment dwell/longstandings, supporting and coordinating the release of reefer, dry, food grade, and OOG equipment, and collaborating with commercial teams to support new business and product development. The analyst will also work closely with the Global Service Center to ensure work orders are processed through the dispatch system (TMS) and empty releases are performed to standard. A key aspect of this role is cost ownership, focusing on reducing empty miles and spend, holding vendors accountable, and rejecting/disputing unjustified costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent industry experience and training.
• Strategic mindset, capable of working in fast paced environment, able to balance priorities and make trade-offs to deliver needed service levels and results.
• Proficient PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in a networked environment .
• Able to learn and adapt with AI technology .
• Must be adhere to 5 days return to office policy.
• Good organizational and analytical skills; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Continuously looking for process improvements, able to work using “Maersk Way”
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal and management skills, supporting corporate policy and objectives .

Responsibilities
