About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking Equipment Operators to perform a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance. This role involves operating various heavy equipment, managing traffic control, performing roadside cleanup, and participating in emergency roadway operations. The position requires knowledge of highway maintenance practices and the ability to perform heavy manual labor in diverse weather conditions.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience or training.
DOT medical card.
Class B CDL at minimum.
Ability to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employment.
Valid driver’s license in good standing.
18 years of age or older.
Ability to perform heavy manual labor (carry 50 pounds 50 yards).
Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Skilled in the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment used for highway maintenance and repair.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog, and similar equipment.
Flag traffic and set up work zones and traffic control.
Cut brush and clean ditches/debris.
Patch potholes.
Perform emergency roadway operations.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform heavy manual labor, including carrying 50 pounds 50 yards.
Read and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor and/or USF Senior Project Manager.
