About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking Equipment Operators to perform a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance. This role involves operating various heavy equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, motor-graders, and tractor/bush-hogs. Additionally, the position requires flagging traffic, setting up work zones and traffic control, cutting brush, cleaning ditches and debris, patching potholes, and performing emergency roadway operations.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience or training
DOT medical card
Class B CDL at minimum
Ability to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employment
Valid driver’s license
Good standing DMV records
Ability to perform heavy manual labor (carry 50 pounds 50 yards)
18 years of age or older

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog, and similar equipment.
Flag traffic and set up work zones and traffic control.
Cut brush and clean ditches/debris.
Patch potholes and perform emergency roadway operations.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Perform heavy manual labor, including carrying 50 pounds 50 yards.
Read and follow oral and written instructions.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Operate and maintain light, medium, and heavy-duty equipment used for highway maintenance and repair.
Perform any other duties as assigned by a supervisor and/or USF Senior Project Manager.
Function as a member of an Emergency Response Team when directed.
