About The Position

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking Equipment Operators to perform a combination of skilled equipment operations, preventive maintenance, and manual labor tasks in roadway maintenance. This role involves operating various equipment such as backhoes, dump trucks, loaders, motor-graders, and tractors/bush-hogs. Additionally, the position requires flagging traffic, setting up work zones and traffic control, cutting brush, cleaning ditches/debris, patching potholes, and performing emergency roadway operations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or demonstrated equivalent experience or training
  • DOT medical card
  • Class B minimum CDL
  • Ability to obtain Flagging Certification within 60 days of employment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform heavy manual labor (carry 50 pounds 50 yards)
  • Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Skilled in the operation and maintenance of light, medium and heavy-duty equipment used for highway maintenance and repair.
  • Must pass a DMV records check.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must pass a fingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.
  • Required VDOT/Industry training.

Responsibilities

  • Operate backhoe, dump truck, loader, motor-grader, tractor/bush-hog, and similar equipment.
