Requirements

  • Master's Degree or MPH required
  • Excellent organizational skills including written and verbal communication
  • Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • 5+ years of experience in applied epidemiology, preferably in a pharmaceutical or CRO setting
  • A strong desire to learn and gain a deep understanding of the work of the department
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexibility and a willingness to respond to the needs of the department
  • Employment with ICON is contingent upon having the legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Responsibilities

  • Work proactively as a member of a team within ICON's Epidemiology Team and take responsibility for project deliverables, client relationship, and proposal-writing.
  • Design studies, develop protocols, statistical analysis plans and clinical study reports in collaboration with customers, clinical experts, statisticians, or epidemiologists/health economists.
  • Support observational studies such as chart reviews or studies using secondary data.
  • Deliver quality work in a timely manner.
  • Design or collaborate in the design of questionnaires, case report forms, consent forms, and other data collection tools.
  • Prepare or collaborate in the preparation of final reports, publications and manuscripts, abstracts and materials for presentation at conferences.

  • Contribute to client engagement activities as appropriate.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships.

  • Assist in proposal writing and client liaison.
  • Demonstrate and actively promote an open and honest working environment to encourage close teamwork and foster knowledge transfer.
  • Provide mentoring for other members of the team.
