About The Position

As Trillium and Clinical Systems and Informatics (CSI) continue to expand, the Epic Applications Analyst will play a key role in supporting, optimizing, and maintaining the Epic Health Information System (HIS). This highly motivated individual will apply their technical expertise to support clinical workflows and ensure Epic applications meet the needs of both clinical users and business partners. This role reports to the Manager, CSI Applications and will work closely with other teams within the portfolio.

Requirements

  • Grand Central certification
  • Cadence certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, IT, or a related field preferred; Master’s degree is an asset.
  • Minimum two years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in configuring and supporting Epic systems in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working on application build, testing, issue resolution, and workflow integration.
  • Strong background in EHR support, implementation, and optimization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, test, and configure clinical systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Commitment to patient and staff safety in a healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • In good standing, demonstrating strong, consistent performance delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Certification (for service management and process improvement) is an asset.
  • ServiceNow Experience (for IT service and incident management) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, and implement Epic applications in alignment with hospital workflows.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) with deep Epic knowledge and multiple Epic certifications across several modules, providing advanced guidance to both technical and clinical teams.
  • Analyze operational needs to configure Epic systems and inform workflow decisions by attending site visits, validation sessions, and other integrated sessions.
  • Assist in customizing, testing, and deploying new Epic features and updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that affect clinical users, workflows, and related application areas.
  • Continuously evaluate new features and releases to enhance system functionality and user experience.
  • Work directly with clinical teams and business partners to understand workflows and ensure the system aligns with operational requirements.
  • Collaborate with the training team to develop training content and tip sheets to support end-users.
  • Identify cross-application issues and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Attend regular team meetings to discuss deliverables, shared issues, and upcoming milestones.
  • Act as a secondary support contact for application end-users.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for extended hours as required.
  • Contribute to additional projects, initiatives, and tasks as required to support team and organizational priorities.
