EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing- Analyst
About The Position
ChristianaCare is seeking an EPIC Resolute Hospital Billing Analyst to join their team. This is a hybrid position requiring frequent on-site work and must be within a commutable distance. The role involves configuring and optimizing the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module to align with organizational workflows and billing requirements. The analyst will collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams, develop documentation, conduct end-user training, and provide go-live and ongoing support. Responsibilities also include contract management, charge master maintenance, charge router configuration, report development, and ensuring data integrity. This position is crucial for supporting ChristianaCare's transition to the Epic EHR system.
Requirements
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States. ChristianaCare will not sponsor applicants for this position for an employment visa now or in the future.
- 2 - 3 years of experience working with Epic systems or laboratory information systems.
- Knowledge of hospital billing processes and revenue cycle management.
- High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field preferred.
- Epic Resolute Hospital Billing Certification preferred for external candidates.
Responsibilities
- Configure and optimize the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module to align with organizational workflows and billing requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical, financial, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, workflows, and training materials.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users, including billing staff and financial administrators, to ensure effective use of the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module.
- Special responsibilities include contract management, maintenance of the charge description master, and charge router.
- Provide go-live support and troubleshooting assistance to ensure a smooth transition to the new system.
- Offer ongoing support and maintenance for the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module post-implementation.
- Create and execute test scripts to validate system functionality and ensure accurate configuration.
- Identify and resolve issues discovered during testing phases, including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Assist in the development of reports and dashboards to monitor billing metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the Epic Resolute Hospital Billing module.
- Participate in project meetings and provide updates on progress, challenges, and solutions.
