About The Position

This is a 6-month Epic consulting opportunity for an Epic Patient Access Analyst. The role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and optimizing Epic Cadence and Referrals applications. Responsibilities include designing, building, and enhancing various scheduling components, configuring enterprise master files, and analyzing workflows to improve patient access and operational efficiency. The analyst will partner with various teams to develop scalable solutions, support referral workqueues and authorization workflows, and perform system build, testing, and implementation activities. The role also involves troubleshooting complex application issues, providing optimization recommendations, and developing documentation and training materials. Collaboration with project teams on enhancement initiatives is also a key aspect of this position.

  • Strong understanding of ambulatory scheduling operations and referral processes.
  • Experience performing Epic build, optimization, testing, and support activities.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Only candidates with active Epic certification and hands-on experience supporting Epic Cadence and Referrals applications will be considered.
  • This role requires a consultant who can immediately contribute to complex scheduling, provider, and referral initiatives with minimal ramp-up time.

Responsibilities

  • Support, maintain, and optimize Epic Cadence and Referrals applications.
  • Design, build, and enhance visit types, scheduling workflows, templates, provider availability, and appointment configuration.
  • Configure and maintain Enterprise Master Files (EMPs), departments, providers, resources, and scheduling records.
  • Analyze scheduling and referral workflows to identify opportunities for improved patient access and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with ambulatory operations, access centers, referral coordinators, and clinical teams to develop scalable solutions.
  • Support referral workqueues, authorization workflows, provider-to-provider referral processes, and appointment management.
  • Perform system build, testing, validation, upgrades, and implementation activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex application issues and provide ongoing optimization recommendations.
  • Develop documentation, workflow diagrams, testing scripts, and training materials.
  • Collaborate with project teams on enhancement initiatives and system-wide improvements.
