About The Position

The Epic Ambulatory Project Manager is responsible for planning, leading, and delivering Epic Ambulatory implementation, optimization, upgrade, and support projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between clinical operations, IT, Epic application teams, and executive leadership to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while supporting organizational strategic goals. The Project Manager oversees project planning, resource coordination, risk management, stakeholder communication, and vendor collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Epic Ambulatory implementation, optimization, upgrade, and support project experience.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between clinical operations, IT, Epic application teams, and executive leadership.
  • Experience with project planning, resource coordination, risk management, stakeholder communication, and vendor collaboration.
  • Experience with project governance meetings and executive status reporting.
  • Experience with Epic Ambulatory build, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
  • Experience collaborating with Epic-certified analysts, application teams, clinicians, and operational leaders.
  • Experience supporting workflow redesign and optimization initiatives.
  • Experience coordinating integrated testing with ancillary applications and third-party systems.
  • Experience ensuring successful deployment across physician practices and ambulatory clinics.
  • Experience building strong relationships with physicians, nursing leadership, clinical staff, IT leadership, and executive sponsors.
  • Experience communicating project status, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Experience facilitating decision-making among cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Experience managing expectations throughout project execution.
  • Experience identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Epic Ambulatory implementation and optimization projects from initiation through go-live and stabilization.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Facilitate project governance meetings and executive status reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and organizational standards.
  • Coordinate Epic Ambulatory build, testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
  • Collaborate with Epic-certified analysts, application teams, clinicians, and operational leaders.
