About The Position

This position involves working in a cleanroom environment and adhering to strict safety, quality, and productivity standards. The operator will be responsible for following work instructions, maintaining data integrity, and ensuring efficient production flow. The role requires strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as the ability to use basic measurement equipment and PC software.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Less than 1 year of related experience
  • Must be able to read and interpret specifications
  • Must be able to maintain records
  • Must be able to use basic arithmetic
  • Must be able to use material measurement equipment
  • Strong teaming skills
  • Able to communicate professionally with all departments at all levels
  • Read, understand, and speak English
  • Ability to use PC software including Webmail to collaborate in a professional and respectful manner with coworkers, vendors, contractors, etc.
  • Follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
  • Ensure adherence to company’s values (ICARE): Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm

  • Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Wear all required PPE
  • Respect safety systems and never disregard or work around them
  • Maintain training certifications and LMS training at 100% on time
  • Prevent injuries by following all safety protocols; Report all injuries or pain experienced at work immediately
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and understand all hazards in the workplace; Report any safety concerns to supervisor at earliest possible time
  • Follow all work instructions/established procedures/SOP’s at all times
  • Maintain data integrity
  • Use extreme care when handling any product, do not rush
  • Stop and ask if there is a question about a tool, process, or priority
  • Log tools down that may have a problem or cannot be used to run production
  • Report any near misses to your supervisor so they can be fully investigated
  • Maintain break schedules keeping production moving, never leaving tools unattended
  • Follow dispatch list to run by priority unless otherwise directed by the Supervisor
  • Adhere to Department’s reliability expectations as it pertains to attendance and punctuality at all times
  • Communicate professionally, without anger or negative emotions at all times
  • Handle differences in a professional manner, listen and respect others’ point of view
  • Offer and accept constructive feedback positively
