The successful candidate will work with engineers, scientists, and software developers on new and existing solutions for future fielded systems. The position includes developing and executing assembly, integration, and test plans; preparing and carrying out unit build procedures and work instructions; performing system-level testing, calibration, and validation; and resolving multidisciplinary integration issues. The role also supports quality-controlled laboratory and production environments, technical documentation, design and integration reviews, commissioning, acceptance testing, delivery, and manufacturing and production planning. The candidate must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area and must be a U.S. citizen with a final Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain one.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, and 4–8 years of prior relevant experience; or a master's degree and 2–6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional education, experience, or training may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in systems integration, specifically involving EO/IR sensor systems or related electro-optical technologies.
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and optical.
  • Understanding of EO/IR sensor components, including detectors, optics, electronics, and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with system-level testing, integration procedures, and validation methodologies.
  • Proficiency with test equipment and instrumentation relevant to EO/IR systems, such as optical test benches, thermal imaging equipment, and signal analyzers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, Alabama area.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and possess and be able to maintain a final Secret clearance, or meet eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
