The Environmental Technician II performs tests and/or measurement tasks for the Environmental department. Environmental: The branch of mechanics that deals with changes in the environment, including temperature, pressure and humidity.

Requirements

  • Under General Supervision, can perform certain recurring work independently
  • Regular interaction with clients
  • Intermediate interpretation and analysis of test results
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electrical & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices; working knowledge of refrigeration/thermal systems
  • Able to use all standard Environmental equipment
  • Able to accurately capture necessary data
  • Basic MS Office skills
  • Able to understand AC/DC circuits

Nice To Haves

  • AA or AS degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
  • Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
  • Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
  • Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
  • Other - Perform other duties as assigned
