About The Position

Performs routine and project-based cleaning and trash removal throughout all areas of the hospital, including carpet and hard-surface maintenance. Maintains equipment in clean, working condition and demonstrates knowledge of the proper use of chemicals and other supplies. Moves furniture and equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers or shampooers, and housekeeping carts, and is exposed to various types of chemicals. Communicates and interacts appropriately with patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while remaining sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Requirements

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and accept disruptions to workflow.
• Ability to take verbal and written instructions and follow them precisely.
• Demonstrate cooperativeness, good judgment, and initiative.
• Ability to relate well to other people and work without close supervision.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of previous work experience.
• Previous housekeeping or healthcare-field experience.
