About The Position

The Fuel Tank Cleaning Technician performs tank cleaning, fuel polishing, and related maintenance tasks for fuel storage tanks to ensure fuel quality, system reliability, and compliance with environmental and safety standards. Supports the inspection, maintenance, and operational readiness of fuel storage systems and associated equipment.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and experience working with fuel systems or industrial equipment.
  • Knowledge of fuel storage systems, fuel handling procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ability to operate pumps, filtration systems, and maintenance equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and physically demanding environments when required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of fuel storage tanks and associated systems.
  • Conduct fuel polishing services to remove water, sludge, contaminants, and microbial growth from stored fuel.
  • Inspect tanks, pumps, filters, and related equipment for operational issues and safety concerns.
  • Operate specialized cleaning, filtration, and fuel transfer equipment safely and effectively.
  • Collect and document fuel samples, maintenance activities, and service records.
  • Follow environmental, safety, and hazardous material handling procedures during all operations.
  • Assist with tank inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, customers, and site personnel regarding scheduled services and findings.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition.
  • Respond to service calls and support emergency maintenance activities as needed.
