The Environmental Compliance Technician performs precision testing, inspections, and related maintenance tasks on fuel storage and fuel dispensing equipment to ensure operational performance, safety, and compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards. Conducts detailed evaluations of fueling systems, identifies deficiencies, and supports corrective actions and system reliability.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of fuel storage and dispensing systems and related testing procedures.
  • Strong mechanical and technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in testing and documentation.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools, testing equipment, and reporting systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to assigned locations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform precision testing and inspections on fuel storage tanks, piping systems, and fuel dispensing equipment.
  • Conduct compliance and operational tests in accordance with regulatory requirements and company procedures.
  • Inspect fueling equipment for leaks, malfunctions, wear, and safety concerns.
  • Document test results, inspection findings, and maintenance activities accurately.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and recommend or perform corrective actions.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing equipment and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and operational standards.
  • Coordinate with site personnel, contractors, and supervisors regarding inspection and testing activities.
  • Support preventive maintenance and equipment reliability programs.
  • Respond to service calls and assist with emergency troubleshooting when required.
