About The Position

Maintains clean, sanitary, and orderly conditions in assigned exterior and interior areas of the Medical Center, including offices, laboratories, bathrooms, public areas, and the courtyard. Performs general cleaning and floor-care duties, handles waste and replenishes supplies, and moves beds and furniture within the Medical Center. May assist with transporting heavy items and performs related duties as required.

Requirements

Ability to use and/or operate common housekeeping devices such as brooms, mops, waxers, scouring pads, and dust rags.
Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain assigned interior and exterior areas of the Medical Center in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition.
Scour and polish sinks, showers, bathtubs, tiles, and other bathroom equipment.
Sweep and mop areas, and periodically wax and buff floors.
Clean and dust furniture, windowsills, mirrors, pictures, ceilings, doorframes, wall vents, and similar surfaces; polish furniture and other equipment.
Wash mattresses, beds, and examining tables, and make beds after discharge.
Empty trash baskets and other disposals.
Refill soap and paper goods dispensers as required.
Operate floor maintenance equipment, such as floor buffing machines and wet vacuums.
Strip and refinish floors.
Move patient beds and furniture within patient rooms and on the same floor.
May assist in transporting heavy items within the Medical Center.
Perform related duties as required.
