About The Position

The Environmental Services Worker maintains a safe and sanitary environment for visitors, patients, and employees at Virtua facilities. The role includes cleaning and facility upkeep, trash removal, linen distribution, and room setup. The worker follows universal precautions, safely handles and disposes of regulated medical waste and other trash, and uses and stores chemicals properly. The position is per diem, part-time, on-site at the Voorhees location, and assigned to the second shift. Work at other facilities may be required.

Requirements

• Ability to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Virtua facilities as directed, including removing trash, distributing linen, and setting up rooms.
• Maintain universal precautions to support patient and employee safety.
• Safely handle and dispose of regulated medical waste and other trash.
• Use chemicals properly and store them safely.
• Assume linen responsibilities as required.
• Work in other facilities as assigned when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
