About The Position

Performs all general housekeeping tasks according to established routines and procedures. The position involves physical effort and continuous activity, including work with light or average-weight materials and equipment. Hospital housekeeping experience is desirable, but the employer may train basic skills and will provide training in hospital-specific procedures. The role may involve exposure to contaminated waste, isolation rooms, and cleaning chemicals.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, and speak English and use simple arithmetic.
Ability to interpret and understand written and oral instructions.
Hospital housekeeping experience is desirable; basic skills and hospital-specific procedures may be taught by the employer.
Sustained physical effort and continuity of effort while working with light or average-weight materials and equipment.
Ability to perform continuous short-cycle work or operate multiple machines or pieces of equipment.
Some reaching, pushing carts, lifting, carrying, manipulating, stooping, and bending are required.
Exposure to contaminated waste, isolation rooms, and cleaning chemicals.
