About The Position
The Environmental Services Transport Technician maintains environmental and infection control standards in accordance with established policies and procedures. The role cleans and maintains areas in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition within the hospital and adjacent buildings, which may require travel between facilities. The technician responds to and initiates communications using phones, handheld radios, pagers, and similar devices.
Requirements
- No education or experience is required.
- Able to work alone; frequently required to work after hours.
- Able to stand and walk continually.
- Observe safety standards and use safe work techniques at all times.
- Demonstrate the ability to advocate for and protect patients’ health, safety, and rights.
- Awareness of safety protocols involving Material Safety Data Sheets and personal protective equipment.
