About The Position

Silver Cross Hospital is hiring Environmental Services Technicians to help maintain cleanliness, safety, and infection prevention throughout the hospital. The role contributes to patient safety, healing, and satisfaction by creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and team members. Full-time opportunities are available across three shifts: first shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.; second shift, 3:00 p.m.–11:30 p.m.; and third shift, 10:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m. Schedules are Monday through Friday with an every-other-weekend rotation.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas.
• Perform routine and discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
• Follow infection prevention, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Properly handle and dispose of trash, linens, and regulated waste.
• Restock supplies in assigned areas as needed.
• Safely operate environmental services equipment.
• Promptly report maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns.
• Provide courteous and professional service to patients, visitors, and team members.
• Partner with colleagues across the hospital to support an exceptional patient experience.
