About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. The role supports patient care by cleaning patient rooms and other assigned areas, replenishing supplies or linen, and ensuring medical equipment is properly sanitized. The position is full-time and works evenings at Memorial Healthcare System in Pembroke Pines, Florida.

Requirements

• No degree or other education is required.
• Requires critical-thinking and effective communication skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Nice To Haves

• Healthcare or hospitality experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain carts and equipment in clean, working condition and return them to the appropriate storage area when the shift is finished.
• Replenish supplies and/or linen in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing all surfaces.
• Ensure proper sanitation of medical equipment as required.
• Perform other environmental services duties as needed.
• May maintain a consistent floor care program according to outlined policies and procedures.
