About The Position

Alan B. Miller Medical Center, opening in Spring 2026, is a new state-of-the-art neighborhood hospital that will join UHS's growing regional network of healthcare operations. The hospital will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building, and a helistop, encompassing 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. It will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Oncology, Cardiovascular, and Neurosurgical services, as well as outpatient services through its medical office buildings. The Environmental Services Technician/Housekeeper will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient care areas, corridors, offices, perioperative areas, and public spaces. Other areas of the hospital may be assigned. This role involves cleaning, disinfecting, and replenishing supplies in assigned areas, maintaining environmental and infection control standards, and accounting for cleaning inventory and equipment.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Acute care experience preferred
Excellent customer service skills, including good communication

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain patient care areas, corridors, offices, perioperative areas, and public spaces.
Clean, disinfect, and replenish supplies in assigned areas of the hospital.
Maintain environmental and infection control standards within established policies and procedures of the hospital and comply with regulatory requirements.
Account for cleaning inventory and equipment ensuring that the necessary tools are available to perform the job.
