About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Gulf Coast is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/Housekeeper helps maintain a clean, sanitary, orderly, and presentable hospital environment while providing customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff. The role performs routine housekeeping work in assigned hospital areas, using cleaning solutions and disinfectants and following established schedules and procedures.

Requirements

Previous housekeeping experience required.

Nice To Haves

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Previous hospital EVS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate a commitment to customer service excellence in interactions with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobbies.
Help maintain the overall sanitation, order, and appearance of the hospital.
Perform light manual work and routine housekeeping tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
Clean furnishings, floors, and equipment using special cleaning solutions and disinfectants to help prevent the spread of disease.
Dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty ashtrays and trash buckets; and arrange furniture and equipment.
Make beds with clean linen according to prescribed procedures.
Scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment.
Replenish soap, towels, and other disposable supplies.
