About The Position

Corewell Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician Associate to help support high-quality patient care by cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas, removing medical waste, trash, and linens, and maintaining floors, carpets, and upholstery. Team members communicate and collaborate to coordinate services and foster a positive work environment. No prior experience is required; training and support are provided, with opportunities to learn new skills and develop a career. The role may require working across department sites to provide coverage and meet business needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Public service and/or customer service experience in a hotel, hospital, environmental services, or janitorial setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, and stock patient rooms, offices, and ancillary areas according to established procedures.
• Remove and dispose of linens and waste streams.
• Perform interim and restorative maintenance on hard floors, carpets, and upholstery according to procedures.
• Assemble, maintain, and store equipment and supplies needed to complete tasks according to department standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and coordination of services.
• Report general maintenance needs and communicate special cleaning requirements in the work area.
• Assist visitors and employees with navigating through the hospital.
• Function in two or more areas of responsibility.
• Work across department sites when needed for coverage and business needs.
