About The Position

Performs a variety of routine environmental services duties and maintains cleanliness in accordance with established standards and protocols. This is a full-time opportunity based at Plains Regional Medical Center, with an evening work shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all areas in accordance with departmental standards.
• Ensures proper infection control procedures are followed when handling linen, trash, medical waste, and performing cleaning tasks.
• Demonstrates understanding of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, required competencies, and the Mission & Vision of PRMC.
• Maintains and safely operates all housekeeping equipment.
• Reports relevant information promptly to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
• Completes required departmental record keeping and documentation.
• Maintains appropriate linen and supply levels throughout the department.
• Performs routine floor care and maintenance.
