About The Position

The Environmental Service Supervisor (ESS) has the primary responsibility for supervising housekeeping activities. The ESS is responsible for insuring safety and sanitation throughout the facility. Maintaining quality control functions and compliance with Town, State and OSHA Federal Register Rules and Regulations, Porter Medical Center Infection Control P&P and Housekeeping, Laundry Department P&P. The ESS is expected to work collaboratively with department manager, support staff and other department personnel as required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• At least three years of experience in institutional housekeeping techniques
• Knowledge of housekeeping equipment and cleaning supplies
• Ability to maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and good public relations
• Demonstrates ability to provide clear expectations to department personnel
• Displays professional appearance and attitude
• Ability to work with management members

Nice To Haves

• Supervisory experience preferred
• CHEST certification
• Ability to obtain current certification in timeframe determined by Manager
