Environmental Services Supervisor - Evenings
About The Position
The Environmental Services Supervisor maintains a high quality standard in housekeeping services by training, supervising and motivating the staff to ensure all schedules are completed. This role supervises the daily operations and employees in assigned work units. Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies. Additional work hours and shifts may be required based on staffing and departmental needs. Will be required to work some holidays and weekends as determined by supervisor/scheduling requirements. This position serves all age-specific groups.
Requirements
- Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor
- Previous work experience in facility floor plan and storage areas
- Previous work experience in 7-Step cleaning procedures
- Previous work experience in floor cleaning procedures
- Previous work experience in battery operated equipment cleaning procedures
- Previous work experience in spray buffing
- Previous work experience in carpet shampooing
- Previous work experience in wall washing
- Previous work experience in commercial vacuum operations
- Previous work experience in chemical use and dilution rates
- Must possess reading and writing skills
- Must comprehend and communicate in English
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Supervises the daily operations and employees in assigned work unit.
- Prioritizes workload/assignments.
- Instructs and trains employees.
- Completes employee performance evaluations.
- Serves as liaison with departments to follow up on services.
- Addresses employee performance issues (e.g. tardiness, absenteeism, etc.).
- Job duties may include the handling, transportation, access to and/or contact with medications and related supplies.
