About The Position

The Environmental Services Lead is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility, following specific cleaning schedules and protocols. This role involves managing staff scheduling and supply orders in the absence of the supervisor, performing daily cleaning tasks, and adhering to specialized cleaning procedures for areas like restrooms, dorms, kitchens, dining rooms, and staff break rooms. The lead will also be responsible for identifying and reporting supply shortages and equipment malfunctions.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 years old.
Computer skills: MS Office Suite.
Able to operate effectively and efficiently with moderate supervision.
Position requires extended periods of sitting and standing.
Position requires regular bending and reaching.
Able to adapt to rapid, unpredictable workflow.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
The ability to work shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

Report for duty as scheduled.
Provide EVS staff scheduling requirements.
Order housekeeping supplies in the absence of the EVS Supervisor.
Follow specific facility cleaning schedules.
Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping and mopping floors, trash disposal, dusting, air duct vent cleaning, furniture cleaning, and general office area cleaning.
Clean restroom areas multiple times daily, including restocking supplies.
Clean respite site kitchen areas after Dietary Operations.
Clean dining and multi-purpose rooms a minimum of 3 times per day.
Clean staff break rooms on a daily basis.
Become familiar with pre-established EVS cleaning requirements for each site.
Follow MRSA, C. diff, and Staph cleaning protocols.
Alert the EVS Supervisor of any shortages of cleaning supplies.
Alert Facilities of any broken or malfunctioning equipment.
