About The Position

Under moderate direction, the Environmental Services I team member performs basic tasks according to highly specific departmental policies and procedures to maintain an aseptic, safe, clean, and attractive hospital environment.

The role is part time, with 20 scheduled hours per week. Work hours are variable, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend required. The primary location is Dearborn Hospital in Dearborn, Michigan.

Requirements

• Ability to understand simple oral instructions and communicate simple job-related problems.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and sweep.
• Dust mop and damp mop.
• Remove trash and soiled linen.
• Use chemicals to clean and polish.
• Interact with patients, guests, and staff.
• Perform low dusting and high dusting.
• Disinfect and terminally clean patient-contact surfaces.
• Replace supplies such as paper products and soap.
• Complete miscellaneous cleaning tasks as assigned.
