About The Position

The Environmental Services / House Keeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and laundry tasks in accordance with established work routines and under the directions of the Environmental Service Manager. This role also performs a variety of semi-skilled tasks in the routine upkeep, maintenance, and repair to the physical plant, building, grounds, and equipment, under the general direction of the Plant Operations Director. The goal is to achieve excellence in total facility appearance and to work within safety structures while performing all tasks. The position requires availability for an 8-business day orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions. Hill Crest Behavioral Health is an acute care, 194-bed inpatient psychiatric facility providing mental health services for adolescents and adults.

Requirements

Availability to attend an 8-business day Orientation from 8a-4p without interruptions.
Prior EVS experience in a medical setting/environment is required on resume for consideration.
Background check & Drug Screen.
Need reliable, full-time staff.
Ability to read and implement written instructions.
Ability to understand and implement oral instructions.
Ability to operate the floor machine, auto scrubber, vacuum, extraction equipment, washer, and dryer, lawn mowers, other gardening equipment and any other equipment necessary to perform the assigned task.
Knowledge in routine maintenance and complete floor care at a medical facility, including but not limited to carpeting, painting, masonry, electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, refrigeration, general mechanics, and gardening.
Basic Computer skills.
Ability to stand, bend, walk, climb a 6-foot ladder, lift up to 75 pounds and to withstand the physical strains from the use of all required equipment.
Ability to measure the proper solutions as related to the specific task.
Valid HS Diploma/GED Required.
Previous Environmental Services / House Keeper experience in a medical environment required.
Must handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals in accordance with established safety regulations.
Uses safety precautions in all housekeeping services.

Responsibilities

Performing all other duties as required or assigned.
