About The Position

The purpose of this position is to support the County Administrator in administering County, State, and Federal regulations related to zoning, land use, solid waste, water planning, wetlands, subsurface sewage treatment systems (SSTS), and feedlot oversight. The position performs technical, compliance, and inspection duties but does not serve as the lead or department head for these programs.

Requirements

• Two-Year associate’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal forms.
• Analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel and other job-specific software.
• Ability to operate a personal computer.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Three to five years of experience in planning, environmental services, or related regulatory fields, or an equivalent combination.
• Required certifications include demolition landfill, SSTS, and MPCA feedlot certification.
• Travel to various County locations and throughout the State for various training related activities several times throughout the year.
