Requirements
- Completion of High School Diploma or the equivalent (Essential)
- Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning, sanitation process and housekeeping techniques (Essential)
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills (Essential)
- Ability to work with limited supervision. (Essential)
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand oral English instructions and procedures. (Essential)
- Criminal Record Check (Essential)
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hospital cleaning procedures such as dealing with infectious disease (Preferred)
- Bilingualism (English/French) (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Cleans assigned area by washing furnishings, and equipment with cleaning solutions, disinfects to prevent the spread of disease
- Scrubs, waxes and polishes floors
- Uses dust cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust windowsills, blinds, floor and furniture
- Empties trash baskets and recycling containers
- Makes beds with clean linen in prescribed manner
- Scour, disinfects and polishes work as assigned
- Maintains confidentiality of patients, families, employees and Hospital information
- Completes other related duties as required
