About The Position

Environmental Services Associates clean and maintain assigned areas of the organization, including patient rooms, public areas, and service areas. They provide customer service while completing tasks that support departmental and organizational processes. Assignments are defined by specific job and task responsibilities and may include other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• No degree or diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Ability to read and follow directions.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain assigned cleaning or maintenance requests through an automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction, and follow established departmental and organizational processes.
• Complete required paperwork to monitor departmental statistics.
• Move beds or furniture as needed to serve customers or complete cleaning tasks.
• Follow directions for proper use and cleanliness of equipment, with equipment varying according to the assignment.
• Use the work-order process and required paperwork to report equipment and miscellaneous-item needs throughout the hospital.
• Keep assigned carts and areas stocked at appropriate operating levels, including linen distribution.
• Perform other assigned duties, including storeroom maintenance, to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout the organization.
• Focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while performing job duties.
