About The Position

Environmental Services Associates clean and maintain assigned areas of the organization, including patient rooms, public areas, and service areas. They provide customer service while completing tasks that support departmental and organizational processes, following specific job and task assignments. The role requires a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency as part of OhioHealth’s High Reliability Organization practices. Requirements

• Ability to demonstrate skill in reading and following directions.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Obtain assigned cleaning or maintenance requests through an automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction.
• Perform assigned cleaning and maintenance tasks according to departmental and organizational processes.
• Move beds or furniture when needed to service customers or complete cleaning.
• Complete paperwork required to monitor departmental statistics.
• Use and keep equipment clean according to directions; submit work orders and other required paperwork to address equipment and miscellaneous-item needs throughout the hospital.
• Keep assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels, including distributing linen.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including storeroom maintenance, to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
• Provide a high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout OhioHealth.
• Perform job duties with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency.
