About The Position

St. Mary’s Healthcare is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant for its Memorial campus. This per-diem position has rotating shifts, with hours scheduled as needed. The role is responsible for cleaning patient rooms and other assigned areas, maintaining cleanliness and quality standards, and stocking supplies. The hiring range is $17.00–$22.74 per hour. Eligible shifts receive differentials: weekday evening, 10%; weekday night, 15%; weekend day, 10%; and weekend evening or night, 21%. Actual compensation depends on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Follow standard cleaning procedures and protocols, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and removing trash and medical waste.
• Follow facility standards for patient isolation and other special situations.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as needed or designated.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in clean, working condition.
