About The Position

St. Mary’s Healthcare is hiring a per-diem Environmental Services Assistant for its Memorial campus. The role cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas, maintains cleaning and sanitation standards, removes trash and medical waste, and replenishes supplies. The position has rotating, as-scheduled hours. The hiring range is $17.00–$22.74 per hour; actual compensation depends on experience and other factors permitted by law. Eligible shifts may receive differentials: 10% for weekday evening and weekend day shifts, 15% for weekday night shifts, and 21% for weekend evening and night shifts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily, including collecting and removing trash, changing bed linens, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Follow standard cleaning procedures and protocols, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and removing trash and medical waste.
• Follow facility standards for patient isolation and other special situations.
• Stock paper items and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.
• Maintain supplies and equipment in clean, working condition.
