About The Position
The Environmental Services Aide supports cleanliness and safety at Huntsville Hospital in the Labor & Delivery area. Environmental Services/Housekeeping provides 24/7 cleanliness through tasks that may include patient room cleaning and turnover, daily disinfection of occupied patient rooms, sanitizing public waiting rooms and lobbies, linen distribution, floor maintenance, and waste management. Extensive hands-on training is provided by leadership staff regardless of experience level.
Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer capabilities.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Experience in environmental services or housekeeping is not required; individuals with varied backgrounds are valued.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in the Labor & Delivery area.
- Perform environmental services tasks such as patient room cleaning and turnover, occupied-room disinfection, public-area sanitization, linen distribution, floor maintenance, and waste management.
