About The Position
Environmental Services/Housekeeping supports the cleanliness and safety of Huntsville Hospital through a variety of positions, teams, and shifts. The department provides 24/7 cleanliness services, including patient room cleaning and turnover, daily disinfection of occupied patient rooms, sanitization of public waiting rooms and lobbies, linen distribution, floor maintenance, and waste management. Extensive hands-on training is provided by leadership staff regardless of experience level.
Requirements
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer capabilities.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Help maintain hospital cleanliness and safety.
- Perform patient room cleaning and turnover.
- Disinfect occupied patient rooms daily.
