About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide performs hospital-wide cleaning duties according to established policies and procedures. The role adheres to Good Samaritan University Hospital Medical Center department policies and procedures and Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements. The aide demonstrates and promotes service excellence and patient confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience.
• Ability to clean entire patient rooms, including bathrooms.
• Ability to perform deep cleaning and vacuum offices, lobby entrances, and other areas.
• Ability to replenish supplies, clean offices, change cubicle curtains, promptly clean spills, and use wet-floor signs.
• Ability to perform floor maintenance and related duties.
• Physical ability to push, bend, lift, and move heavy furniture and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform hospital-wide cleaning duties according to established policies and procedures.
• Clean entire patient rooms, including bathrooms.
• Perform assigned deep-cleaning projects and vacuum offices, lobby entrances, and other areas.
• Replenish supplies, clean offices, change cubicle curtains, promptly clean spills, and use wet-floor signs.
• Perform floor maintenance and related duties as assigned or required.
• Adhere to department policies and procedures and Joint Commission and other regulatory agency requirements.
• Demonstrate and promote service excellence and patient confidentiality.
