About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide I performs general cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Attention to detail and a commitment to customer service are important. The position is per diem, as needed, at Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, New York, with a day shift schedule of 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous environmental services experience is preferred.
• Ability to understand English.
• Ability to prioritize and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Customer-service-driven approach.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements described as heavy, including physically intensive work and safe operation of tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written schedule and approved cleaning process task sheet.
• Dispose of regulated medical waste and trash.
• Set up and/or clean conference rooms and common areas.
• Operate mechanical floor cleaners when assigned.
• Follow uniform, attendance, departmental, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Use good judgment to prioritize multiple requests or responsibilities.
