About The Position

The Environmental Service Worker maintains a safe and sanitary environment for visitors, patients, and employees. The role cleans and maintains Virtua facilities, including removing trash, distributing linen, and setting up rooms. The worker follows universal precautions, safely handles and disposes of regulated medical waste and other trash, and uses and stores chemicals properly. The position may include linen responsibilities and may require work at other facilities as assigned. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, on the first shift at the Berlin location.

Requirements

• Ability to speak English.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain Virtua facilities as directed, including removing trash, distributing linen, and setting up rooms.
• Maintain universal precautions to ensure patient and employee safety.
• Safely handle and dispose of regulated medical waste and other trash.
• Use chemicals properly and maintain a safe environment, including proper chemical storage.
• Assume linen responsibilities as required.
• Work in other facilities as assigned when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
