About The Position
Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS) is seeking Environmental Service Technicians (EVS) to join our growing organization. This role will partner closely with a team of talented managers to support sanitation and custodial operations within the VA healthcare system. This is a federal contractor position supporting the VA healthcare system.
Requirements
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, EVS, sanitation, or cleaning experience preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Strong attendance and reliability required
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, push carts, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks throughout shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures and safety standards
- Must read, understand, speak, and write English fluently
- Must be able to pass federal background screening, fingerprinting, and onboarding requirements before starting employment
- Candidates cannot begin work until onboarding and background adjudication are completed
Nice To Haves
- Hospital, healthcare, hotel, airport, warehouse, or commercial cleaning experience is a plus
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and common areas
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust mop, and maintain floors throughout assigned areas
- Empty, sanitize, and reline trash receptacles
- Restock restroom consumables and sanitation supplies
- Perform terminal cleaning of vacant clinic exam rooms
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces using approved hospital-grade disinfectants
- Follow infection prevention and healthcare sanitation procedures
- Properly use cleaning equipment, microfiber systems, and cleaning chemicals
- Display wet floor signs and maintain safe work areas at all times
- Report spills, hazards, maintenance concerns, or safety issues promptly
- Maintain professional appearance, attendance, and punctuality standards
- Support operational coverage needs as required
