About The Position

Main Line Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment within the hospital facilities, including patient rooms, common areas, and offices. The technician will perform various cleaning duties, floor care, and refuse removal to ensure adherence to hospital standards and objectives. Additionally, the role involves providing excellent customer service, maintaining equipment, and reporting facility needs.

Requirements

Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Mechanical aptitude is desirable.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of housekeeping experience is preferred.
Previous experience using battery operated floor scrubbers, buffers and burnishers is preferred.
Minimum of a High School/GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and supply patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices and any other areas assigned in accordance with standard procedures of the Environmental Services Department and in accordance with hospital objectives.
Perform floor care duties including dry and wet mopping, buffing with a buffing machine, and burnishing with a burnishing machine.
Collect and transport trash, and remove soiled linen and red waste according to Main Line Health standards.
Wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells, and perform other assigned project cleaning.
Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers.
Maintain assigned equipment for cleanliness and report any machine malfunctions.
Observe and report the need for repairs of hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc.
