About The Position

Environmental Service Technicians help patients and visitors live well by maintaining a clean and safe hospital. The EVS Tech I performs general cleaning tasks throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and other clinical areas. The role may involve working independently and as part of a larger care team, with opportunities to work in areas such as the Emergency Department, Surgery, Patient Rooms, Labor & Delivery, Clinic, and Radiology. Flexible per diem shifts are available, and the posting lists 40 scheduled weekly hours.

Requirements

• Be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Have basic computer skills, including email, eLearning, iPad, Vocera, and pagers.
• Be able to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team while handling fluctuating workloads.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients and visitors.
• Clean occupied patient rooms.
• Prepare discharged patient rooms for the next patient.
• Clean operating rooms.
• Operate floor-cleaning equipment.
• Respond to spills.
• Transport waste.
