Aerostar Environmental and Construction LLC is seeking Environmental Scientists interested in identifying, investigating, evaluating, and assessing elements, chemicals, and materials that may be detrimental to the environment, the public, or workers. The role is suited to scientifically minded professionals entering or advancing in environmental science, industrial hygiene, and safety and health. The company supports cross-training across business lines and offers opportunities for professional growth. Projects are located throughout the United States and occasionally outside the country, so travel is an imperative part of the position. The role reports to the company’s Jacksonville office, with travel to sites nationwide and potentially OCONUS. The position involves building assessments, collecting environmental samples, overseeing work practices, applying relevant regulations and standards, documenting observations, and developing reports with findings and recommendations. Work takes place in office settings, occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor sites, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights and in variable weather conditions. The salary range is $40,000–$60,000 annually. Employment is contingent on a pre-employment drug screening and acceptable background check results. Depending on contract requirements, the employee may need to obtain appropriate security clearances and access to military installations.
