Aerostar Environmental and Construction LLC is seeking an Environmental Scientist interested in identifying, investigating, evaluating, and assessing elements, chemicals, and materials that may be detrimental to the environment, the public, or workers. The position offers opportunities for cross-training across business lines and career growth in environmental science, industrial hygiene, and safety and health. Projects are located throughout the United States and occasionally outside the country, so travel is an imperative part of the job. The position reports to the company’s Jacksonville office and involves travel to sites nationwide and potentially outside the continental United States. The role includes conducting assessments and collecting samples in varied settings, overseeing workers and work practices, interpreting and implementing applicable regulations, and documenting and reporting observations and findings. Work takes place in an office, occupied and unoccupied buildings, and outdoor sites, including crawl spaces, attic spaces, heights, and confined spaces. The role may involve exposure to severe weather, wildlife, airborne particles, chemicals, and loud noise. The salary range is $40,000–$60,000 annually. Aerostar offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, health savings and reimbursement accounts, a flexible spending account, employer-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and other benefits.
