About The Position

Whitestone Associates, Inc., a 100% employee-owned geotechnical and environmental consulting firm with offices throughout the eastern United States, is seeking an Environmental Scientist. The role supports environmental consulting projects through field sampling, environmental due diligence, data analysis, and technical report preparation. The position requires staying current with applicable regulations and industry standards. The stated salary range is $60,000–$80,000 USD; higher compensation may be offered based on experience and qualifications. Benefits eligibility depends on full-time employment status.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 0–3+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and analyze data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor field sampling according to project requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Analyze and interpret field data, laboratory results, and historical information to support technical reports.
• Prepare accurate and concise technical reports in accordance with established guidelines.
• Stay up to date with current regulations and industry standards.
