About The Position

APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a mid-level Environmental Scientist on a full-time basis to participate in a variety of environmental compliance tasks in support of our RCRA and state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, regulated waste and hazardous materials management and reporting programs. The successful candidate will have a background in completion of hazardous waste and hazardous material notification and reporting, including California reporting and Business Plans, and the experience/ability to execute these tasks as a reporting lead. Ability to coordinate with hazardous waste vendors, assist with waste profile management and quality assurance/quality control review of waste profiles, is a plus. The candidate will also have excellent communication skills to provide direction to entry-level and junior level staff and will be in a position to interact directly with clients. This position will primarily be in an office environment but may also require travel to client facilities to conduct environmental compliance reviews/audits and/or gather related data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, or related area required.
• Related work experience of 6+ years.
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must have strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills required. Must have demonstrated strength and proficiency with Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications.
• May be asked to work in the field and travel to complete work.
• Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations required.
• Specific experience with RCRA and state hazardous waste, non-RCRA waste, and regulated waste compliance and national experience.
• Specific experience with California electronic reporting for hazardous waste (eVQ) and hazardous materials (CERS) required.
