About The Position

Weaver Consultants Group, LLC is hiring an entry-level Environmental Scientist/Air Quality Specialist for its Landfill Gas/Air Quality Department in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves evaluating landfill data for compliance with state and federal regulations, preparing and submitting reports within required timeframes, and communicating findings to clients, regulatory agencies, and coworkers. As a consultant and team member, the employee is expected to complete high-quality assignments within specified schedules and project budgets while developing skills in landfill air-quality compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Strong writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Strong computing skills, including high-level use of Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Enter data into spreadsheets using formulas and conditional formatting, and evaluate it for compliance with state and federal regulations for Municipal Solid Waste Landfills.
• Compile and write reports for landfills to meet state and federal regulatory compliance requirements.
• Communicate relevant findings to coworkers that may affect a client's ability to meet regulatory standards.
• Evaluate landfill gas flare data and extraction well data for compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Complete annual Greenhouse Gas (GHG) and Emission Inventory calculations and reports.
• Attend air compliance inspections at various landfills.
• Perform Tier 2 sampling and flare performance testing at various landfills.
• Learn and become well versed in applicable regulations, including specified federal regulations and state Title V programs.
